Home is Where the Heart Is

As I look at these four walls,
Which separate me from the world outside,
My heart feels not the joy or happiness
That one's home should provide.

These four walls keep me dry,
And sheltered from the wind,
Though this does not help to comfort
The restless feeling which lies within.

Yet with her, I feel that comfort,
That calming of the mind and soul,
That joy which lightens my life,
And for once, I feel whole.

If one's home is truly found
Where their heart and soul reside,
I'll never find my home,
Without her, by my side.
